What is ProductCollect?

Here at ProductCollect we want to guide you to a local supplier of your chosen product. ProductCollect aims to help you find what you are looking for and give you an easy way to buy local. The ease of buying online can cause a loss of business for local stores; having a tool to find your local stores for the product you are looking for and have it delivered, is the goal of ProductCollect.

A Search Platform

What would I use ProductCollect for? ProductCollect allows you to find local stores that stock the products you are looking for. You can build a shopping list that will be emailed to you, sorted by store. Our platform offers you a simple way of making a shopping list using local stores.

How do I use the search tool?
How do I build a shopping list? When you see your search results you can click add to shopping list. This will then show on your list at the side of the screen.

How can I get my shopping list sent to me? When you are finished adding to your shopping list, enter your email address in the box below and send to email. Note we will not save your email!

Why shop local? Shopping local supports local business and helps keep your community running.

What benefits do I get from shopping local? When you shop local you get many more benefits. You get to see the product in person and even ask staff questions. You can return your product with ease by following the returns policy of each store. You get to support local businesses and help keep them open. Plus this gives you a reason to go out and be a part of your local community.

How can I search just by a selected store on the search platform? Once you search you can edit your filters just below the search bar to the right. Here you can select a shop.

How can I use filters? Just below the search bar on a search result page you have two main filters: "Select a Shop" and "Sort by".

How does ProductCollect gather its data? This data has been collected by two methods. One from online stores that are local and second, we support the small shop setup on our platform.

How can my store be added to the search platform? We accept applications from stores who wish to be added to our search platform. Please email us on ProductCollect@gmail.com with your request and we will guide you though the simple process. Alternatively please click on the Link.

Can I trust the product will be in stock? Currently we do not link with stores for current stock levels, so this information we are unable provide. We do, however, plan to add the feature at a later date. In the meantime you could call the store using the contact info and ask them about availability.

Shop/ Product List

How is the shop/Product lists organised? The shop/product lists on ProductCollect.com are dynamic and the order depends on various factors. However, one thing is always the same: You will be shown the product that is most relevant to you.The default order is called "Best Match". However, this order changes when you use the sorting option on the website, because the different sorting options take one factor into account, whereas the "Best Match" takes several factors into account.The factors that determine the order of the "Best Matches" are the distance to the customer and the "Quality Ranking" that results from the reviews. Temporary factors such as the weather, peak hours or a public holiday can influence the shopping store/product listings.As all factors are subject to change, the shopping store/product ranking (i.e. the order in which the shopping stores/products are displayed to you on the platform) is not static. Your neighbour may see a different order than you and your list may look different at 15:00 than at 20:00.You can always use filters to sort the default order. As a rule however, we will indicate the most relevant shops/products for you, depending on where you are. Sponsored results ProductCollect.com offers a paid sponsorship service called "HighRank" that allows shopping shops to improve their visibility by improving their position in "best hit" search results. This improved visibility is relative to the position they would otherwise hold on ProductCollect.com based on the ranking factors listed above.However, shopping shops can pay to appear higher up in the product list. If this applies to a shopping shop, we mark it with the word "Sponsored". However, distance, reviews and popularity still influence the position of a sponsored shop.It is also possible that a shop would like to have more views on a weekday. So shop owners could use HighRank to get more orders on that day.Although Sponsored is a great opportunity for our shopping shops, the real goal of our ranking system is to show our customers the shopping shops that are most interesting to them. Shopping shops cannot improve their visibility with HighRank without limitations. For example, it is too expensive for a shop in a suburb that is ranked 200th to use HighRank to improve its ranking to number 1 in the entire city area.We also make sure that a shop can't gain an unlimited number of places on the list with HighRank, as customer feedback always has a direct impact on the shop's position on the list. We want to reward shops that offer their customers excellent products.
Are there other factors that influence the display of the shopping shops? Some factors may temporarily affect a shopping shop's position on the shopping shop list, such as the quality or popularity of a shopping shop.

New stores New shopping shops are temporarily placed higher on ProductCollect.com, because new shopping shops usually have not received so many reviews yet. To help these shopping shops get started, they are placed higher on the shopping shop list for about four weeks.

Why do some shops have "sponsored" under their name? We generally determine the ranking of a shopping shop based on distance from the customer, quality of reviews and popularity. The better the shopping shop does in these three areas, the better its ranking.

Is there a price guarantee? We want you to enjoy viewing products on our platform and we know that costs are important to you. Unfortunately, we can't guarantee prices because there are simply too many products, millions of them, that change their price almost daily.

How does ProductCollect.com deal with allergens and additives? It is important that you know the ingredients of your product. Therefore, we ask you to research online or look directly on the product label to find out which allergens or additives are contained

Website not loading? If the website is not loading, make sure you are connected to the internet and on a support browser - We support all major used browsers.

Why can't I see images? On our platform if a store has not provided a image we will not have one. Or if you are using a limited connection this may cause a issue with loading the images.
